PROPELLER REPAIR – SHIP REPAIR IN VIETNAM
Almost the motor vessel (MV motor ship) has propeller, it work all time during the ship operation. There are some reasons that the propeller is damaged, crack, broken… during voyage. The propeller can impact with obstacle or fishing net at sea. Once the propeller is damaged, efficiency of the ship is down and also not good for navigation.
Propeller indeed made by copper and its alloy, quite hard for welding or cutting, recondition of propeller. Moreover, copper is very sensitive of crack. If the procedure for welding and heating is not correct, the copper will crack immediately after welding (Hot crack). To ensure the quality of propeller repair, shall be check properly with PT (Penetration testing) to find defect and repair properly.
