SHIP REPAIR IN HAI PHONG PORT

Hai Phong Port (VN PHP) is an international general seaport, which is included a lot of sub-ports belonging. It is the second largest port in Vietnam after Saigon and is the largest in the Northern, an international gateway of Vietnam. Hai Phong Port belongs to Hai Phong city, is the oldest port cluster in Vietnam’s seaport system.

Hai Phong Port was built by the French in 1874 and was used for landing and resupplying expeditionary troops. The port developed by Vietnam National Shipping Lines includes the following main port areas:

  1. Hai Phong port inland container port, loading and unloading port and transporting goods, mainly serving inland. This port areas has 11 piers, the depth in front of the wharf is 8.4 metres.
  2. Dinh Vu and Nam Dinh Vu wharf areas: Capable to receive ships of 10,000-20,000DWT. The port includes 10 bridges, including 1 inclined berth. With fixed and mobile cranes of 10 – 50 – 70 tons, forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, conveyors and cranes for loading and unloading containers. The average depth of the water level is 7 metres;
  3. Tan Vu Port: Has a channel depth of 7.3 metres, a depth of 10.3 metres in front of the wharf, capable of receiving ships of 20,000 DWT.
  4. Hai An Port: There is currently 1 wharf for container handling.
  5. Lach Huyen Port: There are 2 berths and the capacity to receive container ships with a tonnage of 132000DWT (12000TEU).

Lach Huyen Wharf will be built as a general port and a container port. This will be the main wharf area of ​​Hai Phong port, capable of receiving ships over 100,000DWT. Next is Dinh Vu, will be dredged and renovated to be able to receive ships of 20,000 to 30,000 DWT. In addition, there is also Nam Do Son wharf dedicated to national security.

In addition to the above ports, there are more than 40 other ports with different functions, such as transporting liquefied substances (gasoline, oil, gas), shipbuilding port.
